PATRORU/PATOD
arbi ke patty 6 (colocasia leaves)
haldi ke patty 2(turmeric leaves)
rice 4bsp
chana daal 4tbsp (split bangelgram )
maah ki daal 4tbsp(split black lentil)
amchoor 1tsp(dry mango powder)
heeng a pinch(asafoetida)
haldi 1tsp
garam masala 1/2 tsp
salt and chilly to taste
method
wash and soak daal and rice for 2hrs then grind them together and make a fine paste now add other spices to it and make a batter of medium flowing consistency. wash and pat dry arbi ke paty cut the middle vein and and apply evenly this batter on the under side of the leaf and repeat till the third leaf then fold and make the rolls..now tie these rolls loosely covering with turmeric leaf with the help of thread.......now steam them for 15-20 minutes...when done they are cut into pieces. These pieces are shallow fried in mustard oil......serve with chuttney.......
