MAHANI(RAW MANGO CHUTNEY)HIMACHALI POPULAR TANGY SIDE DISH
Raw magoes small size – 5-6
Onion – One large
Zeera bhuna (Roasted Cumin seed ) – 1 Teaspoon
Salt – To taste
Sugar or gurh 1tbsp 0r as per your taste
Hari mirch.(green chilli).3-4 or as your need according to your taste
Pudia( Mint Leaves) 1 tbsp
Wash and boil the raw mangoes. Let them cool a little and take out the pulp along with seeds in a bowl and mash a bit .chop the onions, pudina hari mirchi and crush in stone grinder along with salt and sugar and zeera. Add this to mango pulp, it should be semi liquid you can add water if required. Serve cool with steamed rice…:)
