ARBI STUFFED MAKKI KA PRATHA


For stuffing
250 gms arbi boiled peeled and mashed
A pinch of heeng
1 green chilli chopped finely
½ inch piece ginger grated
1tbsp hara dhania chopped (coriander)
Salt to taste
For the dough
2 cups Maize/Corn Flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cup warm water
1 tablespoon of Ghee or butter spread over the prantha

Combine all the ingredients of dough to form smooth dough.Cover and allow to rest for 5-10 minutes.Flatten 2 lime size dough by patting it using fingers and palm and applying little water on palm patt again to make round about 3 inches big now put a lemon size ball of stuffing fold it from all sides like pratha and apply little water again on your palm and flatten it by pressing your palms to 6 inch big ,heat tava, and cook like prantha serve hot with butter, curd, chattney etc
It needs little practice to make by hands , if you are not so seasoned then take about lime size ball each time and press between sheets of plastic using your palm. same way you can try it with other stuffing's of your choice too........
